Prepping for Gradshow already

Last semester of the commercial animation program at Capilano University! I've been working on various projects to prepare for gradshow. You'll be seeing a lot more design, and maybe even some storyboards!

This character's name is Penelope for now.

Last Semester Has Begun!

Updated version of my Lilo animation

For the last week of semester we were given time to touch up any past animation of our choice. I didn't get to fix her as much as I would have liked, but here's the newer "Lilo" animation!

Layout... Sigh...

Layout was one of the greatest challenges for me in 3rd semester. I've always been more interested in drawing people than things, and suddenly I was faced with composition, line quality, and hardest of all: giving character to inanimate objects.

Here's my final layout assignment for 3rd semester. It still needs a lot of work, but it's an improvement on my past efforts =)

Panther in Wonderland

We've been working on an Alice assignment for two weeks now.
She's far from perfect, but she's finally done. What a challenge!

Before Alice, we animated the pink panther. The assignment was to have him lift a boulder and throw it onto a seesaw. The resulting gag was up to us. Enjoy!
